266 Ratnagiri Vidhan Sabha Constituency 942 People Voted By Postal – Electoral Decision Officer Jeevan Desai

Ratnagiri, Dt. 12 (Jimaka): 942 people who are on duty at various polling stations and policemen on duty in Ratnagiri Assembly Constituency today exercised their right by voting by post. Election Returning Officer Jeevan Desai informed that postal voting will be held at this center tomorrow as well.

Officials, employees and police conducted postal voting today at the polling station of Ratnagiri Municipal Council School No. 15, Damle Vidyalaya in the city. Out of a total of 1567, 942 people cast their votes on the first day today. Postal voting will be held tomorrow at the same place. This includes 71 from Dapoli, 66 from Guhagar, 88 from Chiplun, 73 from Rajapur and 171 from other districts totaling 942.

A grand selfie point has been set up at the polling station in Damle Vidyalaya. After voting here, a large number of voters were involved in taking selfies with each other. The hoardings carried various awareness slogans like ‘Be Awake Citizens.. Let’s Vote Proudly, Awake Voters.. The Power of a Strong Democracy’. Election Decision Officer Shri. Desai, Assistant Election Returning Officer Rajaram Mhatre along with officials, staff were guiding the voters. Drinking water facility, health facility as well as postal voting big notification board was attracting attention at this center. 00
