Shiv Sena MLA Dr. Manisha Kayande, MLA Sarvashree Bharatsheth Gogawle, Pratap Sarnaik, Santosh Bangar, Balaji Kalyankar and Prakash Surve, Chief Minister Shri. This time, after hearing about the illegal type of Halal certificate, the Chief Minister has taken serious note of it and ordered the officials to submit an inquiry report on the matter. This time Shiv Sena MLA Dr. Kayande showed some halal certified products of Maharashtra to the Chief Minister and said, “Government regulations related to dairy products, sugar, bakery products, salt, ready-to-eat, edible oil, drugs, medical devices and cosmetics do not have a legal provision to mark Halal certified on the packaging of the products. , as well as the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and related regulations have no provision for Halal certification. In such circumstances it is a punishable offense if any facts relating to Halal certification are mentioned directly or indirectly on the packaging of any medicines, medical devices or cosmetic.

As per the applicable laws and regulations relating to food, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is empowered to prescribe food standards, based on which the quality of food is ensured. Halal certification, on the other hand, is a parallel system that violates government regulations by creating illusions about food quality. Across the country including Maharashtra, 'Halal India Pvt. Ltd', 'Halal Certification Services India Pvt. Limited', 'Jamiyat Ulema-e-Hind Halal Trust Mumbai', 'Jamiyat Ulema-e-Maharashtra' etc. are illegally distributed Halal certificates. Also, this money is used to provide legal assistance to around 700 accused of Lashkar-e-Toiba, Indian Mujahideen, Islamic State and other terrorist organizations. The Chief Minister took serious note of it and said that this kind of thing has come to my ears. Basically, what is the need for Halal certificate in India? All this matter is serious. The government will thoroughly investigate this and take appropriate action.
